Came in for a burger and was blown away by all of their offerings (fish, tacos, shrimp, chicken, etc). Stuck with a burger combo and it was pretty good. Burger was kind of similar to Five Guys Burgers if you've ever been there.

For a 'fast food' place....the deep fried food was some of the best fried food I've had. Not greasy at all. I had the catfish poor boy and some fries. Turned out to be a delight. If I lived here I'd gain weight from eating here all the time.

Me & my boyfriend came here for a date night. Place was really packed and almost reminded me of a fast food place. You place your order & pick a seat & wait for them to call your number. You go pick it up from the front! I LOVE Louisiana fried catfish so I got the 4 catfish pieces. My boyfriend loves this place & get a burger every time. The fried catfish was ok. Hush puppies were good but I didn't like the fries. I will go back and get something else & hopefully update my review !

Happy Happy Happy! Finally a clean n nice staffed n GREAT food in El Dorado! This appears to be a fast food place n when u order..it resembles McDonalds. U fix ur own drink n they give u a buzzer to let u know when ur food is ready to pick. I noticed a drive thru window as Well. Oddly enough when my salmon salad with balsamic vinegar dressing was delicious!!! Richard s talapia fish tacos Were awesome as Well. The sides Were not so hot....literally. hushpuppies And rice with black beans Were cold. We will return. If ur in El Dorado singing the blues about rude service n terrible food...visit this place.

Several people around south Arkansas had recommended the Flying Burger to me. I believe they made a good recommendation. The place is very clean and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I ordered a Double burger with fries. The Burger had a good size to it and was made from fresh hamburger meat. It was a greasy burger but I have had definitely worse and kept falling apart on me. It did have a real fresh taste to it. Fries are hand-cut and freshly made as well. I really enjoyed my burger and fries. Really the only complaint I have is that I wish there were more choices for my burger beside the standard lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. Also, don't let the name fool you. This is a seafood restaurant with a good burger. I have heard people speak highly about the fish tacos. Flying Burger deserves another visit in the future.

Best place to eat in El Dorado. So much more tan burgers. Foods fresh and salmon salad is my favorite item on the menu. Great environment for the family and large groups.

Definately one of the better restaurants in El Dorado. Clean, and with plenty of seating. Everyone says to try the seafood bit the meat market style display of burgers almost changed my mind. Fried catfish and shrimp were both good. Shrimp were very big. Not too heavy on the batter. Fries are pretty bland. The boiled or grilled options looked good. If I make itback I will probably go with that next time.

For the area, this place has great burgers. My best friend likes their seafood too. I enjoy getting the cheeseburger with fries when I come here. It's good to eat there and to get take out. Service is friendly and fast. Nice open and clean dining area too.

Ah, The Flying Burger. What an unexpected find in this town. I travel here for business once in a while, and this place is like a Food Oasis for me. I eat here several times while in town, because I know they will always deliver fresh, handmade, authentic food every time. The decor is on the kitschy side, but not too over-the-top. The star here is the food. yes, it's a little bit pricier than people in El Dorado are probably used to paying. You know what? You are getting quality for that ever-so-slight uptick in price. One reviewer mentioned you can get a burger at McDonald's but to get seafood here - I am here to tell you, no fast food restaurant can hold a candle to this place. At all. The seafood is clearly fresh, gulf shrimp and fresh seafood. I don't know if they fly it in or what, but it is of great quality. Everything is made fresh to order, I can tell. The burgers are made in-house too, because that is the only explanation for how juicy and tender they are. The fries are only so-so, but they have a wide variety of sauces available to make anything taste good. Yes, it takes a while to get your food, but that's because they are cooking it fresh for you. You can see them! In the kitchen behind the counter. They have enough variety that I can eat here several times and not feel like I'm repeating myself. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood plates...I've tried just about everything on the menu, and there is very little I wouldn't eat again - and those are because they just don't cater to my particular palate. Stay here, Flying Burger, because I need you when I'm in town to keep this foodie sane when on the road. By the way...can you open a franchise in Dallas?

The staff is great, very clean and the manager knows my dad is in a very strict low sodium diet and he makes sure his staff keeps the sodium off his food!! I love the menu!! It's great going to a place and knows who you are and ask where the rest of the family is!! It maybe a little costly but the atmosphere and great friendly staff will keep you coming back!!

Moved here a few months ago. Fish tacos are the best I have ever eaten. In a town that has many disgustingly filthy restaurants, Flying Burger is spic and span. one of only 3 places I will eat.

Best fast food in town. Juicy tasty burgers with all the fixings. Crispy fries and fried chicken and catfish strips. I was pleasantly surprised on my next visit when, in a fit of healthfulness, I subbed rice and beans for my combo's side of fries and found them to be quite flavorful, with chunks of tomato visible in the sauce. Loud when busy (which was both times I was there), but at least they give you those vibrating coasters to notify you when your food is ready.

Any place that has fresh ground meat and seafood in the case is gonna be good. The grilled spicy shrimp po' boy was delicious. Sweet tender shrimp, marinated and grilled to perfection. The bread the shrimp was on was perfect, paired with the onion and lettuce. Definitely a great, busy place to go catch a business lunch. I definitely would recommend this location and hope to come back!

Best burger place in town! This place has almost anything you would want, but I always have to get their burger.

I was told they have the best burgers anywhere, but I beg to differ. I have had much better burgers elsewhere. Their fries are also "so-so". That being said, I have also had the grilled shrimp and catfish which is among the best I have had. If you want a burger, you can get one at McDonalds or somewhere, but if you want shrimp and/or catfish in the El Do area that's not outrageously priced, then this is a very good place to eat. My suggestions for improvement would be to lower the volume of the music, or just turn it off. It does not increase the enjoyment level of the dining experience. Also, they need to put solar film, or something, on the windows. It is simply far too bright during the day to enjoy the meal. I think it is just plain glass with nothing on it to block the brightness in the least. In addition, they could do a bit better with the cleanliness. Finally, their menu is jumbled mess. It is quite difficult to read and find what you want when you are in a hurry. They need to implement several computer-connected wide-screen TVs in portrait mode. That way it could be better presented and easier to modify in the event of price or item changes. If they could fix these four things, I would be willing to give them 5 stars instead of three. One more thing, they need to learn that when you order a hamburger with ketchup only, it really does mean ketchup only. There is no need to ask if I want cheese on it. If I wanted cheese, I would have ordered it that way to begin with. I would have said something like "ketchup and cheese only"..... - I am upgrading them to four stars since they have greatly improved over time. The employees are usually quite friendly and the food is usually good. Like I said before, their seafood is the best in the area.

Great fish options. Maybe add milk shakes to the menu? The decor and menu made me crave a milkshake.

I was doing some extensive business travel to El Dorado when someone mentioned this place to me. I drove by it a few times and thought "Oh, another burger place." I finally decided to try it and was quite surprised with what the restaurant actually is...a seafood place! Ok, I initially had a burger just to say I did and it was decent. That was the last time I had a burger at the FB though. The seafood choices are outstanding...with both fried, boiled, and grilled options. Where do I start.... Fried Oysters: These are probably the best ones in the area. They use a cornmeal based coating which is not overdone. One can still taste the oyster and they are still juicy when biting into them instead of being shoe leather which most places do. Grilled Plates (catfish, trout, tilapia, salmon): The trout was a pleasant surprise and is quite tasty (my favorite of the group). The other fish are great as well with a good sized portion. They also include a salad to go with it (I like the balsamic vinaigrette). If they ask regular or spic,y, go with spicy. It really isn't hot, just a few added flavors. They have fried fish options too, but I prefer grilled. Fish tacos: I went with the grilled tilapia. It tasted ok...but something was off. It had cole slaw on top. I do not like cole slaw (personal preference). I ate it anyway. The one thing to note is the HUGE amount of fish. It is maybe 2/3 full of fish and very filling. Next time, I will ask for it without cole slaw. Boiled shrimp: DELICIOUS. They are peel and eat. I went for a whole pound and realized it was too much. I'll know better next time. Poboys: This is one of their low points. Instead of using the proper style bread, they seem to be using sub sandwich buns which anyone can buy in the bread aisle at the grocery store. And the one other detractor....the fries. I don't care much for fries anyway, but these were just blah. BUT, there is a great alternative....NEW POTATOES. They come with a dill cream sauce and are delicious. I ask to substitute fries with new potatoes (2 or 3 depending on how hungry I am). The prices are very reasonable as well ranging $7-14 or so. They even have crab legs (haven't tried them yet). Overall, I'd say they have better seafood than that fancy place across the street. Parking can be tight during peak times. There is plenty of space inside, just not as much outside to accommodate a near full house.

The customer service is great - very nice people, and fast service. The double hamburger was very flavorful, and the fried apple pie was as good as it can get.

While visiting El Dorado, my mother (who lives in EL Dorado) suggested we try Flying Burger. I was impressed. Although I live in Austin now, I grew up in EL Dorado and have a pretty good idea what the EL Dorado standard is and Flying Burger exceeds it. From the minute I walked in the decor was inviting and the staff seemed to be on their game and ready to serve. The menu also is pretty well-rounded consisting of classic southern and southwestern themed diner food but with a flare and panache that was on another level. The menu was also relatively large, but not so big that it is unwieldy for the kitchen. As much as I wanted the try the Kabobs, I decided to go with the namesake and order a single burger with everything, plus bacon and jalapenos, and fries. As a whole the meal was Delicious. Seasoned well (maybe a little too well) and served in a timely manner. I would put the burger up against any of the Austin burger staples.....Fran's, Dan's, Top-Notch, Dirty Martin's, Hut's and the other dozen or so legendary burger joints. The fries were well golden brown seasoned well also. Misfires? Yes there were a couple. First off, the listed website URL didn't work, and from where I sit, there is no website for Flying Burger. In this day and age, you need to have a website that at least gives you a glimpse of the menu. Second, the salt was a little heavy handed. Not so much that is ruined the flavor, but it just needs to be tweaked back a little. The third was the fries were a little soggy. To be fair, we did get an order to go and it did take us about 5-10 minutes to get home and start dinner. So, diners who eat in may not have the soppy fry problem. However, it was something that was noticable for take-out. Also, it may be just my personal taste as well. My wife thought the fries were perfect. In summary, I am painfully aware how hard it is for a new business to make it in EL Dorado. Businesses can live and die by just a few bad reviews that reach enough local ears. However, businesses that can win over the EL Dorado residents usually keep a loyal following. It is my hope that, when I visit EL Dorado again later in the year, that the Flying Burger will maintain their freshness and high standards because I definitely plan to make a trip back.

It was awkward visit because all eyes seemed to be on us. We were the only Hispanics in there and everyone was starring at us like aliens. My husband ordered a burger and he seemed to like it. I ordered a salmon salad and was very disappointed. The salmon was fresh and very well cooked but the salad was basically greens with a few croutons drowned in dressing (no such a healthy salad after all). The place was also overpriced.
